My name is K. Pietras (Krzysztof Pietras) and I am a composer of video games music (e.g. the DDS series) and music for media (as Red Octopus), I also create virtual instruments (as Pssst! Instruments).

I make music for video games and media

My passion is creating music for video games. However, even if you don’t play games, I am sure you’ve heard my music on TV, radio, the Internet, even toys. My tracks can be heard all over the world in advertisements for brands such as: Adidas, Pepsi, Motorola, Skoda, Maybelline, Philips, Google, Renault, Samsung, Huawei, Qatar Airways, BMW, Paypal, Mercedes-Benz, Lidl, Intel, Hyundai, Fanta, Subaru, Puma, Dell, Johnson & Johnson, AC Milan and many others.

Being so called “media composer” involves creating music that “works in harmony” with media or events. In addition to games and advertisements, I took part in many projects, for example I created the anthem of the CONCACAF SCCL football tournament (the American equivalent of the UEFA Champions League), music for television and radio programs, films and animations, applications, podcasts, vlogs, music for various events, musical installations for several large museums, escape rooms, toys, and even one songbook for children

Education and experience

I studied piano at the First and Secondary Music School in Kielce and in the composition class at the Academy of Music in Krakow (a total of seventeen years!). At the same time, I played in many bands as a sideman, performing with Polish musicians such as Kasia Sochacka, Mateusz Ziółko, Janusz Radek and Jarek Śmietana.

During my studies, I became interested in computer music and virtual instruments. It became my passion and allowed me to have love affairs with many musical genres, from film music, through jazz, rock, hip-hop, to electronica. I quickly specialized in creating short forms in any style and instrumentation (I love it!), which allowed me to achieve success on the stock websites AudioJungle and Envato Elements, thanks to which I became a global top seller, selling hundreds of thousands of licenses for my works around the world.
